About the role

New site-based role for an experienced Site Superintendent to join the team, based in Geraldton WA. A family friendly roster has been introduced to his role and will offer a Full-time employment contract.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site operations, including safety, quality, and management of labor.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to; -

  • Responsible for delivering and maintaining high standards of work whilst carrying out the duties of this role in line with Company Values to achieve long-term success
  • Responsible for safe conduct of all work undertaken by the workforce under their control and for fully understanding safety requirements and standards
  • Ensure the Supervisory staff and personnel carrying out the work understand the work requirements and that work instructions, safety instructions, and / or quality documentation are supplied, understood, and complied with by the work group
  • Responsible for the organisation and management of the operations resources, in terms of labour, plant and equipment and materials.
  • The position has an overarching responsibility over supervision and work teams to ensure that all work is completed safely, on schedule, to required quality and client specifications
  • Maintain communication and cooperative relationships within the team and other stakeholders involved in the project

About you

  • Minimum 5+ years working in a similar role, preferably in maintenance industrial environment or construction industry
  • An understanding of a range of trade disciplines, involved in site operations.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification and/or Diploma, preferably in Project Management
  • Demonstrated frontline leadership skills
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare clear correspondence, project report and instructions
  • Able to communicate effectively with the full range of people involved on and off site, while establishing and building high performing work teams, negotiation and resolving conflict
  • Sound computer skills, preferably able to use Microsoft Office suite and software relevant to project management
  • Experience or solid understand of scaffolding, mechanical, painting/blasting and sheet metal/insulation activities is highly regarded
