About the role

New site-based role for an experienced Cladding Supervisor to join the team, based in Geraldton WA. A family friendly roster has been introduced to this role and will offer a Full-time employment contract.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site operations, including safety, quality, and management of labor.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

  • Achieve an in depth understanding of quality specifications and procedures and any work package specific requirements ahead of SOW execution.
  • Plan and organize work to adhere to schedules and maximize the efficiency and productivity of the workforce.
  • Ensure suitable storage of any materials, tools, and/or consumables which have been withdrawn from Company Warehouse and are stored at the work fronts.
  • Forward plan crane requirements and liaise with Company representative responsible for arranging the provision of a crane and crane driver. Requirements can include lifting of materials/consumables.
  • Forward planning of Company free issued items (e.g. permanent materials, consumables, general tools, ongoing PPE) and communicating requirements to the Material Controller to facilitate prompt submission of Material Request Forms (MRF) to the Company Warehouse as per agreed timeframes.
  • Assist the Planner/Scheduler with the preparation of realistic and robust schedules and contribute to their maintenance.
  • Provide formal advance notification of upcoming Inspection Witness and Hold Points to allow Quality Advisors to attend inspections.
  • Maintain communication and cooperative relationships within the team and other stakeholders involved in the project
  • Responsible for safe conduct of all work undertaken by the workforce under their control and for fully understanding safety requirements and standards

About you

  • Site based experience in energy, mining, and/or construction industry with 5 years’ or more in such industries highly desirable.
  • Cert IV in Frontline Leader Foundations Training is desirable
  • Previous experience and/or certification in cladding, sheet metal work applications
  • Sound computer skills, ability to use MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Written communication skills – able to prepare work reports and job instructions
  • Communicate effectively with a range of different people involved in the operations
  • Willing to work on a wide range of tasks involving on and off-site work as required
