UGL | Altrad Services have been awarded a contract for services on the Woodside operated Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Program. Services to be provided include the detailed planning and execution of access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation, mechanical, pipe-spool equipment replacement and electrical services.

The Role and Requirements

As the Project Engineer, based in the UAJV Perth CBD office, you will be proactive in developing and maintaining high work levels of safety and productivity. This role is responsible for upholding the KLE LNG management systems, strategic direction and focus and coordinates receipt and submission of requests for proposal through estimating and coordinates input by construction, planning, material supply & HSEQ.

Main Activities

  • Coordinates technical queries and constructability requirements to ensure accurate workpacks are constructed and issued on time.
  • Focal point for RFP, RFI, Constructability. working with subject matter experts
  • Coordinates and attends EP/WEL information sessions and performs constructability reviews.
  • Ensures accurate information is disseminated and understood by stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and leads Ready for Implementation Reviews.
  • Performs Workpack handover to site construction teams ensuring scope is fully understood.
  • Contributes to the development of the KLE LNG QA/QC management systems and its associated engineering processes.
  • This role is inclusive of developing and documenting the project engineering processes and procedures, communicating these procedures to all applicable stakeholders and the ongoing development of the engineering processes, procedures and standards.
  • Provides analysis and reporting of the KLE LNG Project engineering activities, construction performance and initiates strategies to improve engineering outputs across the project to ensure that the project engineering controls and obligations are complied with and all internal obligations are met in a timely, consistent and reliable manner.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this position, you must possess resource industry experience along with:

  • 5 + years of experience in engineering system development, deployment and administration.
  • Construction background in either SMP, E&I Scaffold, Coatings & Insulation.
  • Firm understanding of Scaffold, Coatings & Insulation scope.
  • Leading edge knowledge and expertise of construction practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the project activities.
  • Sound knowledge of industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the sites engineering activities.
  • Relevant experience in an industrial services organisation facilitating scope controls.
  • Reliable, dependable, responsible, flexible, an excellent communicator, strong leadership and seasoned people management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently
