Our multidisciplinary service offering includes the traditional services of scaffolding, rope access, insulation, protective coatings & blasting and passive fire protection as well as specialist services such as refractory, asbestos management, and advanced industrial cleaning and vaccumation of heat exchangers, pipes, tanks and vessels using high pressure water and chemicals.

The Role and Requirements

We are seeking a qualified Rope Access Painter/Blaster with credible offshore experience to join our team on an offshore platform in the Bass Strait of Victoria. The position is offered on an ongoing casual basis, working an even time 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster. Flights will be provided from any capital city in Australia with transport available to the Gippsland region. Suitable accommodation is provided on the offshore platform.

Project specific training is commencing as of the 19th August and therefore, candidates must be available to commence the onboarding process immediately.

It is essential that candidates prove credible experience operating as a Rope Access Technician in an offshore environment to be considered.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience operating as a Rope Access Technician
  • Current IRATA qualification
  • Must have over 200 hours rope access experience logged
  • Previous offshore experience is essential
  • Relevant trade qualification and minimum of 3-5 years’ credible experience of industrial scale Painting and Blasting
  • You'll be technically suitable to carry out the below tasks;
  • Abrasive blasting – White Blast
  • Proven ability to use various pneumatic tools in the mechanical preparation of both carbon and stainless-steel surfaces
  • Proven ability to apply coatings with both brush and roller
  • Ability to apply coatings using conventional & airless spraying
  • Be conversant in the mixing and application various coating systems
  • Credible experience in the application of 2PAC is essential
  • Valid NACE qualification preferred, however not essential
  • Hold a valid BOSIET or FOET
  • Maritime Security Industry Card (MSIC)
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry (less than 2 years old)
  • Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
  • Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
